Soup Dragon left this review about Ceol Castle
A detached brick and stone corner pub and music venue.
The interior had a bar room and the music venue, which i didnt see, as there was no band on! The bar is quite straight-forward. it is in white and wood panel, with a couple of brick fire places at opposite ends of the room. It is an Irish themed pub - not much of a shock there considering its name, but refreshingly much of the ephemera was old Guinness adverts on the walls, with a few jugs and pots. There was a TV - which was on, but have no idea what it was showing. The bar, which faced you on entry, had its own roof! The service was fine, there was no other clientele and the backgroung music was general and at a decent level.
Beer; all tap stuff, no MILD, no real ale.
With such a lack of beer choice i wouldn't return, a shame really.
