Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oak
Large, if basic, village local. Opened out at some stage to leave a surprisingly light 'L'-shaped interior, with relatively little furniture and sparse modern decor. Pool table at the far end, but the best feature is undoubtedly a real log fire nearer the main entrance. The solitary handpump had a reversed Harvey's clip, so made do with a keg Old Speckled Hen (£1.80, half) before moving swiftly on.
