Strongers . left this review about The Black Lion

The Black Lion is a Harvester that is found in the usual large building that is surrounded with ample parking. The main body of this pub is for dining, but there is a bar area down some steps to the right. The usual draught suspects are all there alongside draught Old Speckled Hen and I found the service to be polite, although the barmaid was struggling to get through a very quiet and mundane Saturday evening shift. The food is what one would expect from this chain and the familiar toy grab machine is in situ for the youngsters.

This is not a place one would go for just a beer.
