This pub is next to the Master Robert Hotel and I have a feeling that the entire complex is owned by the same company. Over the years I've driven past here more times than I care to remember and I finally managed a visit last week and I wasn't that impressed. The barman was ok, but three of the six hand pumps were unused leaving three dispensing Pride which wasn’t the best.
There is a pool table on the way to the gents at the rear of the pub, a dart board and there is also a plasma screen that was airing a Man Ure v Arsenal game from the 80's.
This place would be good as a hotel bar and I would be happy to find it next door to my room, but I wouldn’t be very impressed if this was my local.
