This is one of three Robinson's pubs in the centre of Beddgelert all within a short distance of each other. On the face of it this is the least pub like of the three that seems to be just a hotel bar and restaurant. However, on my arrival at around midday there was what looked like a local with a pint in the front garden and a man with a guide dog inside enjoying a beer. They also registered no objections when I said I had just come for a beer.
The interior remains much as described below with lots of wood and low furniture set out for dining.
The bar has four hand pumps which had four Robinson's beers, a house Faithful Gelert, Dizzy Blonde, Blonde James Blonde and Wizard. I went for the Dizzy Blonde which was in good nick but at £3.95 ridiculously overpriced for the area. Because of the high price I wouldn't return.

Enter the bar area via a small hotel type reception and a bar/lounge room with wooden floors. A separate family room is enclosed behind the main bar area.

Numbered table cards were held in raised card holders on the tables and cutlery was set out which gave it a contemporary hotel/bar/restaurant feel rather than just a pub. The bar itself is a smooth surface of Welsh slate (ubiquitous in these parts but understandable because it is local and gives an attractive finish).

A Robinson’s outlet so cask ales were Dizzy Blonde and Golden Dragon Ale and Hartley’s Cumbrian XB. There was also some of the usual tap stuff.

I sat outside on the patio area at the front that overlooked the road and surrounding hills. The paving was ubiquitous Welsh slate and there was an overhanging roof. A nice place to be except for the bother with midges (one week on I still have the bite lumps). On my next visit I sat in the separate Family Room and on that assessment I would say that this would be the best place to go locally if you have a young family.
