Soup Dragon left this review about Shropshire Inn
A detached cream rendered cottage styled pub, with extension to the side and rear beer patio
The interior has two rooms, a bar and a dining room. The dining room is off to the right as you enter through the front door and occupies the extension. I didn't see this room and i didn't eat, so i cant comment on the food. The bar is to the left. The bar is all modern and is in a cream and coffee-ish colour, with high stools, sofas, comfy chairs and pouffes all collected in one room. There was also a wood surround fireplace. There were some old photos on the walls and a few sporting trophies, but although the service was fine it just wasn't my kind of place, especially as the clientele were dressed up a little, like this was the place to be (the may have been some function on).
Beer; usual tap stuff with Wells Bombardier and Sheppy Neame Spitfire on handpull - neither of which i like much, so i had a coke.
For those that like modern, this is for you - especially if you seek to eat - though i can't comment on the quality of the food. Traditionalists like me will suffer, and i did in order to write the review - i know, i can hear you say, "get down off the cross Soupy, someone needs the wood".
