This bar is Now closed again and has been since the begining of the year. The windows are now covered and all the fittings have been removed. The buiding is now for rent so future uncertain. When it was open it seemed a strange way too run a Bar as it was closed most evenings and only open for private partys or invited Guest only.
Its Now being converted into A Cafe Bistro called The Hilly Kitchen. So the bars gone for good

My suspicions about this being a late bar/night club were confirmed on my visit last year as I popped in for a Carling Extra Cold so that I could have a nose around. The only other lager was Grolsch so there is next to no selection of draught to speak of, but my pint was £3.00 so it’s not overly expensive for the area.
The three other punters at 21:30 on Friday evening were friends of the owner/manager who seemed pleasant enough and passionate about making this place a success with various ideas in the pipeline.
The upstairs is decked out lots with high tables and some mood lighting that bounces off the stainless steel bar and numerous mirrors. The bar stools have springs in them so that you bounce up and down every time you swivel around. Not the best seating for a fat bloke like me. Whilst visiting the downstairs toilet I discovered another room that looked like it would be used as the club dance floor, but it was closed whilst I was there so I could only peer through the window.
I found the barman to be very polite and I hope that this place is doing well as the people involved seem very nice. Unfortunately I doubt that I’ll return as I prefer a pint of Guinness and a read of the Standard, but ten years ago this could have been a regular haunt.
