I stumbled upon this by accident. I wasn't expecting to find a pub open on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a family party in for lunch, so I waited a little while to order a snack. (Haddock and mozzarella fishcakes - very good value!) I didn't mind the wait, as I'd just walked in off the footpath. Staff are friendly and slightly eccentric, but despite the scenery it's not full-on Twin Peaks territory. The bar was busy with locals, and the dining room had a steady flow of customers, including some more walkers who'd found it by chance. There's a lot of outdoor seating as well. TV was playing 1980s hits, but that's compulsory in the Valleys. Good menu, great service, reasonable prices, charming layout and a spectacular location make it well worth a visit.
