Impressive conversion of an old industrial warehouse next to the canal. As mentioned below, it incorporates the former boat dock in the central arch and there’s also an old crane to look at. Quite nicely done over a couple of levels inside with some exposed wooden beams and bare brick, but the garden overlooking the canal with weeping willows for company is the real highlight. Only two cask on from a nest of pumps - both Marstons stable - my Pedi was most likely on day four of the barrel but drinkable (NBSS 2.5). Well-worth doing on a sunny day sat outside but they could and should make more of their cask offering, it is the right venue to get RAT visitors. 6.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Clock Warehouse
Very imposing three-storey converted warehouse, incorporating the former boat dock in the central arch (with the famous timepiece high above), and now a food-led Marston's outlet. Steps to first floor leading to the main bar, with various seating areas on different levels. Attractive canal-side beer garden at the front, with a larger fenced grass beer garden to the rear more suited to families with young children. Three of five handpumps in operation when we visited, offering Pedigree, Hobgoblin and a decent pint of Jennings Dark Mild (£2.80). Worth a stop if in the area.

Built by The Trent and Mersey Canal Company ,below the warehouse clock at the front is an original sign from the company celebrating "Navigation from the Trent to the Mersey".Confusingly,it is easy to assume this is the pub's name but The Navigation Inn is a further 200 yards south on the London Road and not on the canalside.
Marstons have created a family orientated eatery within this historic building with overloud muzak but quite respectable ale.There is a lot of seating outside and good moorings for visiting boaters.
