Stephen Solar left this review about Semaphore Lodge
A large pub with bar area at the front and a Chinese restaurant at the back decorated in traditional (I think) Chinese style. Menu includes Malaysian, Thai and even Japanese food with an all-you-can-eat buffet Friday-Sunday evenings. The bar is wide with two or three beers which include guest ales such as Rev James and Doom Bar. Plenty of seating including settees if you don't want to eat. Because of it's location, it doesn't open regularly during the daytime, usually evenings and weekends are best.

Now operating as a Chinese buffet restaurant but may still have a bar.
