Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Abbey

Absolutely rammed on the Friday before Christmas, but I'd been promising myself all year to get this place a first review so I braved the numerous door staff (one of whom was stamping hands for no obvious reason) and ventured in. As expected, I found a loud, party-style bar with anonymous modern furniture and decor in the various seating areas. There was a 2-4-1 offer of cocktails which seemed to doing good business, albeit holding up service considerably. No real ale, and indeed no draught bitter of any kind, so I opted for a quick half of Hoegaarden (which turned out to cost just £1.30, which must have been a 'happy hour' price).
