Strongers . left this review about Priory
The Priory is a large Flaming Grill roadhouse that was very busy on a recent Wednesday night visit. A lot of the pub is given over to dining, but the bar area is much more pub like than most of the FG pubs I have visited. This is also the first that has had live music, which was taking place in the rear dining / function room. The bar counter has two sides with the longer facing the front windows and the shorter, with the hand pumps, facing the rear. One hand pump was reverse clipped which left TT Landlord and GK Abbot Ale alongside three cider offerings from Lilley’s. Premium and standard keg was also available. There are lots of small seating areas in the bar with a mix of standard and high furniture, most of which are in line-of-site of one of the televisions that show the advertised live football via BT Sport. I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit, but this is a better option when compared to the Hungry Horse up the road.
