The Cannon has a pool table and dartboard to the left of the entrance where some seating can also be found. The L-shaped bar faces the entrance and a couple of high tables to the front and three thick columns to the right. One of these columns has a jukebox that was supplying background music mounted onto it. There are a couple of tables along the rear wall and on the other side of the columns is a small raised area with more seating and some DJ equipment. Doors from here lead to a side beer garden. Back inside, Televisions are found throughout, Sky Sports News was muted. The bar supports standard and premium keg and the lone hand pump was drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar. The service was friendly, but I found it difficult to get comfortable.

The Cannon is a three storey town pub.
Once inside the bar faced, the left side was square shaped with bench seating to the front, there was a pool table to the rear, the right side had normal tables and chairs, there was a small raised are to the right which leads out to an almost secret garden to the right of the pub.
There were four pumps on the bar all unclipped, this left John Smiths smooth crap which was a pretty crap drink.
The pub is bare boarded, very basic and a bit tatty.
