has now been refurbed and taken into the Sizzling brand so it’s even more corporate than before. Smartened up inside and pleasant enough, but the real ale selection is no better, unless you’re excited by a mediocre pint of Doom Bar of course.

a large mock tudor pub on a busy junction. inside it's just your typical corporate chain pub with a sports bar feel to it. not an unpleasant place to pass some time and it serves the locals well enough but not worth going out of your way to visit. there was no real ale on my last visit but apparently if you're lucky you may get a Greene King IPA, yippee!
