The Maltman has booths along the large front windows and up the left-hand wall. High tables run up the centre faced by the long serving counter that runs up the right where standard keg is available alongside Peroni and Beavertown Neck Oil. Some banquette seating is found at the rear and at the very rear is a mezzanine with more seating and a DJ booth for the advertised weekend entertainment. Televisions are located throughout for airing Sky and TNT Sports, F1 and horse racing were on during a recent early Monday evening visit. This is a comfortable city centre boozer that’s worth a look if passing.
