This is one of three shop converted Irish pubs along a short stretch of this road and it was the busiest by far during the afternoon on bank holiday Monday. The locals were watching horse racing and a league two football match on the five screens located throughout this small bar and there were a couple of people having a game of darts on the board at the rear. The governor seemed friendly enough and the Guinness that I was poured from the standard draught selection went down a treat.
There is an awning out the front with a shelf to place ones beer whilst having a smoke and it is cordoned of from the path as to avoid bumping into pedestrians ambling by.
I wouldn’t make this a destination pub, but I would pop in again if passing.
