Old Boots left this review about The Slate
Hotel bar in an out of the way place but not far from the A5/A55 junction. The outside of the building and the bar have been painted using navy surplus paint, there seems to be a lot of it about these days. It’s quite a spacious area to the left of the reception with a corner counter to right as you enter, then seating areas beyond to either side. There is T-bar of usuals plus some singles, of the two hand pumps one was blank the other a weak cloudy IPA from Snowdonia Craft. There’s also a door straight off the car park.
