Friendly pub with a range of real ales from Pentrich, Leatherbritches, Titanic and Nottingham breweries, plus Bass. We chose the Pentrich Falconers Flight which was fine.

The Steam Packet used to be a Shipstones tied house.
This pub is on the main road and in the middle of Swanwick there are still two rooms here i went in the lounge which is at the back of the pub this was a medium sized room that was fairly comfortable and the landlady was friendly.
There was a decent choice of beers on here i had a drink of Batemans XB which was very nice the other beers were Black Sheep bitter, Adnams bitter and Brains SA Gold.
I thought this was a fairly decent pub to have a few drinks in
