A sizeable village pub with a GBG entry, well off the beaten track, but well known for its food and ales. Easy to miss, it sits in the middle of a small village and has a gravel car park at the back. It looks scruffy but is actually quite welcoming and pleasant inside. There is a small beer garden at the back and a skittle alley in an outbuilding which is used as a function room. Inside, there are two bars, one a pool room and the other a carpeted saloon/dining room formed from three original rooms, one of which is down a step, and there is both a woodburner and an open fire. There is a wide variety of food, mainly standard pub menu stuff, but it’s well cooked and reasonably priced. The landlord was welcoming, and there was a family feel to the pub. Two ales on, Will’s Neck and Exmoor Gold, both in excellent condition. Definitely worth revisiting.

This is a lovely traditional village inn situated in the village of Moorlinch serving good quality home cooked food and real ales. It is consistently included in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide and receives a 5 star rating for Food Hygiene. It welcomes families, dogs, walkers, larger bookings, meetings & conferences. There is a skittle alley, pool table, darts board and digital duke box in the Public Bar. There are lounge bars with open fires. See the website for more information www.ringobellsmoorlinch.co.uk
