Another day, another wine bar. This one is nothing like a pub - it's definitely a most characterful wine bar that only sells wine and water as far as I can see. Personally, I don't see that a place can be regarded as a pub if it doesn't sell beer. But it's still a great place. There's the very popular outside seating down a few steps to the right, a well as the seating in the dungeon-like tunnels inside. Visit this place if you are looking for somewhere with masses of character, but don't bother if you want to drink beer.

Not having been in here for 25 years, I don't know if the walls are still damp, but this is an absolutely charming wine bar next to Charing Cross station.
I believe that it's wine-only in here but nevertheless, it's a must-visit when in London, especially if you like cheese!
