The name rather gives the game away here – it’s a wine bar not a pub. But as a wine bar it is a pretty good one. It’s one of those totally underground places that have been squeezed into someone’s cellar, so it has a fair amount of character. It has certainly been trading for a good number of years – they advertise their signature dish of raised ham and cheese pie as having been served here for 35 years. The prices are what you would expect to pay in a wine bar right on Leicester Square.
