Possibly a typical London back street pub: Fullers sign (check), people spilling out onto the street (check), loving couple with hands intertwined sitting right in front of the four hand pumps (check), surprisingly good beer (oh, wasn't expecting that one!), beer more than £6 a pint (that's more like it). I went for halves of Hophead and Sussex Best, both were in the region of NBSS 3.5 to 4, with the Hophead perhaps shading it despite being only 3.4%.

I used to really enjoy going to this pub, possibly twice a week, for a few evening beers. it is one of London's most upmarket! The beer to some may be expensive, but average with central London overheads. I have had some good evenings, and enjoyed the hospitality. My only criticism, is that they were rather conservative, in terms of behaviour. I could understand if drunkenness became too aggressive, but on some occasions, felt people were refused service for trivial reasons. I can remember a group of students who were quietly singing a song in Russian, when this occurred. However, am I being pedantic about a pub in London, well worth visiting? Thanks...

No ESB on today, I'm afraid. And a standard point deduction for pouring a pint when I clearly asked for a half. The descriptions below cannot be added upon.
