Sunday afternoons can be tricky, and it took a couple of drive-bys before we found somewhere with free outdoor seating and accessible parking. But this one was almost deserted. Where were all the locals from this lovely village? Maybe it's the gastro-grey paint job, which, giving an air of scruffy dereliction, that puts people off. Inside it's been traditionalified compared to the incarnation described by TP below.
Wells owned, so Marston's beers. Pedigree or Hobgoblin. The other half insisted on Pedigree, and instantly regretted it. I stuck to eurofizz.
Lots of sanitizer about, but no table service and staff PPE wasn't much in evidence.

This used to be a very traditional village pub with wooden floors, beams, fires, fresh flowers etc. It has all been painted white and I overheard locals referring to it as 'The Clinic'. It seemed to take an age for the surly staff to arrive and the beer quality is poor with only Bombardier and Youngs Best as real options, neither of which was great when they finally arrived. Didn't eat but food looks good if expensive. Not one for the real ale connoisseur.
