Set in a rural location, overlooking common land, this is a popular pub for both diners and drinkers alike. This was one of my 2 favourite pubs of the day, but unlike the White Hart at Ashill, this one did feel a little more commercialised and upmarket.
Woodforde's Wherry & Adnams Ghost Ship are the regular beers. Guests on my visit were Barsham Oaks & Moon Gazer Nibbler.
The front bar is fairly impressive, whilst there is a large restaurant at the rear of the bar.

Beautiful old roadside inn looking out over green. Nice old bar to right, and another room laid up as restaurant to the left. Splendid pub.
