Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Boars Head Inn
Splendid old inn with a part-tiled façade, nowadays slightly hidden away from passing trade following improvements to the A26 in the 1990s. Very traditional furniture and decor in the bar, with a side area by the impressive fireplace and a separate dining room / conservatory extension. Beyond this, there is a patio terrace with fine views and a small beer garden. Harvey's and Pride available from two of four handpumps. NB - Check opening hours as it shuts for the afternoon.

Strongers . left this review about Boar's Head Inn
This is a lovely looking 17th century inn just off of the A26. There are some benches outside the front door in nice surroundings and there is also a non-smoking patio area around the side of the pub with some fantastic views. The pub is just far enough away from the main road for the noise of the cars to not be a problem if you are sitting outside.
I spotted four real ales, although one was off, and a limited lager selection. The Landlady was authoritative, but very friendly with it. There is a strict no mobile phone policy and any breach of the rules will be met with a fine that is given to charity. There are a few mobiles nailed to a board at the entrance of the pub just to remind people.
This is a great pub to stop off at if you are passing it on a long journey although it did shut at 14:30 whilst I was there. The landlady informed me that they shut every afternoon as there is not much trade around this time, although they will stay open if there is football or a popular sporting event on. She still served me just after closing though as I didn't know and I was sitting outside – Result!
I felt that a lot of care had been put into the pub and I would go back if in the area.
