Large barn with little of note bar a smidgen of pub character at the servery. Younger clientele, pool table. No cask, my Guinness was middling.

The Steeplechase has a mix of standard and high tables across the front windows and a bar counter that supports standard and premium keg up the left-hand wall. More high tables are found in the centre of the pub and in the right rear are some standard tables and chairs as well and a dartboard and pool table. The jukebox was supplying some background music while Sky Sports News played on a television by the bar. The other televisions throughout were all off. The random song selector in the jukebox decided to hit a patch of love songs which was a bit surreal as there were just three old blokes, including me, sat at the bar. The governor was very friendly, but the drink selection was lacking so I don’t plan on returning.

One roomed pub and the 1st one from the station. Large single room with the bar on your left as you enter from the main street. One of two in a square dominated with a war memorial. Two handpumps on the bar but only one was on serving the dull Doom Bore.
