Now a Stonegate pub with a choice of beers on. I had a decent pint of Proper Job with a camra discount. I liked it here and would call again.

You know exactly what you will get from this chain.Big modern comfortable and busy pub.No cask beers on and mundane keg selection but they did have Punk ipa which was very good.

This is a large slug and lettuce with a raised bar to the left and seating area to the rear which overlooks the main area of seating at the entrance. The full length windows running down the right hand side of the pub and glass frontage give this place a bright and airy feel. For warmer days there is some café style seating out the front which is roped off from the main path.

Along with the usual mix of standard and premium draught products that are found in all S&Ls I spotted three hand pumps, two of which were unused but Bombardier was available. If the quality of the Guinness was anything to go by the ale would be on good form.

I’m not the type to choose to visit a Slug and Lettuce more than once, but I have been in far worse pubs than this.
