Situated on Maryport's South Quay The attractive looking Captain Nelson Tavern is a family run pub where the emphasis seems to favour the diner rather than that of the drinker.This is a single roomed pub with the bar diagonally across from you on entry,with the tables set in the style of that of a café.There was a couple of casks to choose from with the Corby Fox just acceptable.The staff were helpful with enquiries and found the pub clean and tidy and thought the wooden bar shaped to resemble a boat was the pubs most interesting feature.
