A few hand pumps but all dispensing GK IPA. Keg offering of Carling, Carlsberg, San Miguel, Peroni, Moretti, Thatchers Haze, Gold and then orange, cloudy lemon and apple and blackcurrant dispensed from a vertical tap arrangement, SB original, John Smiths and Guinness.

Large roadside pub on approach to Whitchurch. Bar is a right-angled affair with one side facing the entrance from the road. Floor is tiled around the bar and otherwise a mixture of boards, parquet and carpet. There is a robust studded leather banquette under the window to the left of the door and there were quite a few high tables with tall, backed stools around this more sporting side of the pub with pool table, games machines and a dartboard. The area around the other side of the bar was fully carpeted and had a rather colourful banquette on the wall facing the bar and along the wall at the back of this area around the bar and a mixture of tables, chairs and a small line of two-person booth tables. As in other parts a large screen was showing the TwentyTwenty cricket action. Beyond this area were several other rooms largely turned over to diners given this is a Hungry Horse outlet. Surely, I will find some better pubs in Whitchurch this evening?
