The Cock is located in a lovely village. The interior space is quite compact. With some kind of celebration (balloons all over the place and presents scattered around), it was far too busy to be comfortable. The landlady/barmaid had run out of glasses. So, she was prioritising the washing of the glasses, leaving several of us to be served (out of order) around the crowded bar.
Being a Marston's pub, the 3 cask ales are Pedigree, Wainwright Golden & 61 Deep, a range that earns it a place in the 2024 Good Beer Guide. To me, it was not too inspiring.
A garden at the rear was also rather busy. I'd had high hopes for this pub, but was a little disappointed. Perhaps it would have been a better experience, if it hadn't been so busy.
