Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Red Lion
Our second and final stop in Dalton was the Red Lion, just down the main road from the castle and the church.
Service was from the bar and was nice and simple compared with other pubs. The 2 real ales were Cumbrian Legendary Ales Loweswater Gold & Ulverston Laughing Gravy.
Friendly service was nice and it wasn't as busy as the Brown Cow. But the interior is fairly plain, with little character. So overall, the Brown Cow edges this as the better of the two.
