Ian Mapp left this review about The Boathouse

Hydes house. On the front of the building, it states its from 1850. This is the second building from the 1920s. Large carpark with ominous signs for misuse. Great location, overlooking the Dee estuary and right on the King Charles Coast Path.

A queue forming 2 minutes before opening time is a good sign.

Mainly food led, with an interesting variation on a Sunday lunch for two. The platter is £41.

Three ales on - Lowry, Original and the very interesting looking 6.3% stingo. Lowry in reasonable condition for the first serving of the day.

Al Bundy left this review about The Boathouse

Situated at one end of The Parade promenade and overlooking the River Dee marshes. Cracking views across the Dee over to Wales. The pub itself is a well presented affair with a smart interior of about 4 different areas to sit including a conservatory and outside seating. Interesting pictures dotted around of when the sea actually came up to the pub and sea wall 80 odd years ago. Majors in food nowadays. You can find 6 handpulls, with 3 on either side of the bar where you can usually find a LocAle and more commonly Hydes. A nice pub but not the cheapest.
