Town pub in centre handily placed for bus stops with a small cosy bar area to the front and a nicely-furnished dining area to the rear. Outdoor area at the back and upstairs there is a small roof terrace. Beers served straight from the barrels in a stillage behind the bar from Otter and St Austell, including their limited edition brews, and in very good condition.

Basic L-shaped bar. Devon Dumpling, Otter Press, Copper Press cider among the offerings on tap. Rudimentary smoking arrangements to rear. Someone face down asleep on the table near the bar at 5pm on a Sunday. Rough and ready, but not necessarily any the worse for that. An old-skool pub.
