This tall, mock-Tudor style building is located on High Wycombe's Frogmoor and is better-known as a late-night venue, with varying DJ nights, usually of the R&B, Garage, Drum & Bass variety. Popular with Wycombe's student community, this makes much bones about its drinks offers - Fishbowls for £7.95, 4 bottles of Sol lager for £10 and 5 Sourz for £5 are amongst the bargains to be had. Entering front-right, the bar occupies an 'L' in the far right-hand corner of a cavernous room, where the floor is tiled with tiled mosaic squares. The rest of the room is raised and covered in laminate wood flooring, save for a small portion by the front window where a pool table resides. There's a mixture of tables with semi-armchairs and padded booth seating. A number of large screens dominated, showing two live football matches including a huge pull-down screen by the pool table. There was also an unexplored balconied upstairs. Surprisingly, there was one real ale on - Ringwood's Boon Doggle - which I did get around to trying after I plumped for a bottle of Marston's Old Empire IPA. A couple of sips of the Ringwood left me with a taste of line cleaner, so that was left and my departure ensued. This place opens until the wee small hours at the weekends and I fully intend to leave them to it.
