This is now a Lees pub which is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. It's opened out into one big room, but there's a distinct lounge area towards the rear. There's also a small taproom style area to the rear left with a pool table, dartboard and quiz machine. Sky Sports was being shown on most of the numerous TVs. The area to the front is also a lounge type area, but with loads of high posing tables. 3 handpumps on the bar Lees Bitter, MPA & Plum Pudding. The Plum Pudding was just about OK.

I went in this pub when it was called the Railway Tavern and it was badged as a chef & brewer pub.
This pub was a Wilsons tied house and had Wilsons bitter on handpump this was a decent drink,the pub also did food.

Pub visited 9 march 1989.
