A 1930s estate pub consisting of a single large bar, big car park and a large garden. The garden is sometimes used to pitch a marquee for sports events, functions and live entertainment. There is a mix of carpeted and boarded floors, and the decor is complemented with gaming machines, a juke box and a ceiling-mounted projector. There is a strong community feel to the place, but strangers are still welcome. It's dog friendly too, and if you're a football fan (especially a Pompey supporter) you're especially welcome. Only one ale on - Hole Hearted, which was in perfect condition. All in all, a decent pub for those who like a noisy pint.
