Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Brick Works

Formerly the High Brooms Tavern, this pub serves the industrial estates along the nearby railway as well as the main housing areas further up the hill, and thus quite a mixed clientele. The bar area and the larger side room housing the pool table and some additional seating have both been refurbished in a light style, but there are still some interesting historic features to look at (with some of the etched door glazing hinting at the original layout). Two pool tables, and live music advertised.
Duplicated selection of Old Golden Hen and Long Man best bitter (£4.20) from the two pairs of handpumps on this revisit.
