Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Somerhill
Previously known as the Hooden Horse, this corner pub has a wedge-shaped bar and a larger square room to the rear housing a pool table and dartboard. Fairly limited furniture and basic decor. Some wooden benches out front, a small decking terrace at one side and a basic beer garden to the rear. Real ale no longer served from the pair of handpumps, and not even any draught bitter of any kind, so went for a distress purchase of Foster's (£4.80) as a bit of a thirst quencher of a hot autumn day. Even more disappointing than before...

Strongers . left this review about The Somerhill
The interior of the Somerhill consists of a bar in the right hand side and a pool table and dartboard to the left. On the right wall is an electronic dart scorer next to a large mirror which I imagine hides another dartboard. Plasma screens are located throughout for showing live sport and there was some background music playing during my visit on a recent Friday evening. Standard draught is available from the bar and the Pride was off leaving Harvey’s best as the lone cask ale option.
Outside the front of the pub are a couple of picnic tables and there is a beer garden at the rear. I did not venture out there, but I did hear some young children playing on a trampoline as the sun set.
I found the service to be polite, but I think that I will leave this boozer to the locals next time I am in the area.
