The White Hart is a large roadside pub on the A225 with a big car park to the right that gives the game away that this is a food led pub, which isn’t surprising as it’s a 45-minute walk from Sevenoaks Railway Station. The L-shaped stool lined bar on the left-hand wall faces a room with bar seating to the front and standing room to the right where people arrive after walking through the front entrance. Split-level dining seating is found in the sprawling right side of the pub. Three of the seven hand pumps were unused which left St Austell’s Brunning & Price, Long Man’s Blonde, Harvey’s Best and Only with Love Brewery’s Sunup as the cask options. Premium keg and Camden Pale were also available from the polite bar staff. I liked it in here, and there’s a beer garden out the back that would be great in the summer months, but it’s a bit out of the way to revisit just for a drink.

Upmarket Brunning & Price dining pub, with a multi-room interior which - apart from the conservatory extension - is very traditionally furnished and decorated. Outdoor seating on the front lawn and in the rear beer garden. The 'L'-shaped bar counter features two banks of six handpumps, with a duplicated selection of the 'house' Traditional Bitter, Harvey's, Goldhawk from Lakedown and Gun's Old Ale (£5.80) on this first revisit for eight years.

Cask was Harvey’s Sussex Best, the British Bulldog from Westerham, the Perry St Pale from Iron Pier and St Austell Tribute. Keg was Asahi, AF Ghost Ship, B&C Old Mount cider, Peroni, Guinness, Staro, West St lager from Dorking Brewery, Becks, Cornish Orchards cider, Camden Pale Ale. Westerham Bohemian Rhapsody on the boards but I couldn't see at the bar.
Large roadside pub up the hill out of the town centre. On a wet day it was a taxi from the station for me! Plenty of car parking and outside seating space but out of action on my visit, even for a quick wander around. The L shaped traditional wooden bar counter feels like the heart of the pub, which is bare boarded with some rugs dotted around the dining areas particularly. Tall stool seating at the bar was the only option open to me as the venue was doing a roaring food trade. The area to the immediate left of the entrance with one side of the bar facing it seemed to be the main conventional seating area for drinks, the rest of the many rooms and nooks and crannies seemed to be tables set for diners. Almost all of the bare brick walls between the windows and internal plastered walls were smothered with framed prints and photos. Clearly an old coaching inn, low ceilings, beams, and a lot of character, especially cosy at this time of year. The white uPVC conservatory at the rear side out of keeping with the rest of the venue but must have been a no brainer to add additional dining seating here.
