Strongers . left this review about The White Horse
The White Horse is a pub of two halves with an L shaped bar area and numerous seating areas at the front and a two floor restaurant in what feels like a barn conversion at the rear. The décor is rather bland with wooden flooring, fixtures and fittings. In fact the only feature that detracted from the sterile atmosphere was the log fire in the bar area.
A limited draught selection of Becks, Peroni, Guinness and Aspell’s cider was available and two of the three hand pumps were off leaving Doom Bar as the lone ale option.
The restaurant was closed during my visit late on Friday afternoon, but I think that I overheard the barman say that food was available from the bar menu, which I didn’t spot. There were lots of families with young children in attendance and the mix of crying baby and Etta James singing ‘At Last’ had me reaching for my coat. I decided to finish my pint outside where I had plenty of time to note that there is a large car park.
The service was polite, but I was very disappointed that this pub was the last on my crawl of the area.

Nice position on the green, and supeficially attractive, but the "country pub and dining" branding serves as a warning to the wise. Smart but rather soulless decor inside, with the emphasis fully on the food side of things. Two handpumps, but only the one with TT Landlord was on. The beer was fine, and the staff friendly enough, but this isn't really my sort of place.
