Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Mermaid
Attractive Shepherd Neame pub in a quiet village just off the A2 Dover Road. Retains two separate bars, both plainly furnished with some foliage in flower pots and various pictures on the walls to liven up the interior. Compact beer garden at the back. Food just restarting after the earlier lockdown so quite limited at present. Master Brew and Whitstable Bay Pale (£4.60, and in good form) available from a pair of handpumps on each counter.
