Thatched Everards pub. Tight low ceilinged multi-roomer which sounds nice until you notice that some goon has painted it snot green throughout, very glum and felt soul-sapping on a bright and sunny day. Four Everards on, my Sunchaser was fag-end (NBSS 2). Whilst I didn't take to the place, it was certainly well-patronised by the locals, unlike the Oat over the road.

Old Boots left this review about Cherry Tree
Directly opposite the Oat Hill but of course much older, as noted it’s a single storey thatched building of great charm. It has a multitude of areas of varying sizes, I counted five on a short circumnavigation of the pub, two I believe had counters with the four Everards beers previously noted and a rack of low keg solos. Very traditionally furnished and sparsely decorated, it has the beams, quarry tile floors and everything, I didn’t see any horse brasses but it’s the kind of place that would have them. The piped music was just about low enough to not intrude, the stench from the pizzas brought in from the van outside was much worse. Well kept but disappointing beers, I’m not a fan of Everards beers; I would use the pub again but probably only in the right company.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Cherry Tree
Attractive pub with a thatched roof, originally set in the village of Little Bowden but now swallowed up as a suburb of Market Harborough. The interior comprises several small rooms, all very traditional in appearance. As an Everards house, we found the usual Tiger, Sunchaser and Old Original on handpump, along with the 'limited edition' Long Beach (£4.90).
