seems to have given up on cask ale. four hand pumps unclipped this Saturday afternoon. decent range of craft and European fizz available and my keg IPA was surprisingly very nice. really well decorated and probably the best place around here on a Friday night.

A large Irish themed bar. Its surprisingly quite decent. Open plan inside with the L-shaped bar as you enter. The pub stretches back and is quite comfortable. The chances are its packed weekend evenings. Unlike its Southport sister, this one has 4 handpumps on the bar for real ale with Rev James and two Hyde's beers on plus some unknown beer. Skiddle-de-aye-day music coming through the speakers though The Pogues and Dropkick Murphys stuff was welcome. Much better than its Southport companion.

The former Zoo Bar opened early December as "Punch Tarmey's" Irish themed bar after a £500,000 refit. It will attract the young cocktail drinker but there are two handpumps on the bar.
