A gastro pub in the sticks which occupies a decent plot. A conservatory out back heaved with diners whilst the front of the original building in and around the bar, although mainly the preserve of 'pub dining' (tables laid out) allowed you to sit at the bar and enjoy the three ale line-up of Sharp's Doom Bar, White Horse Village Idiot and XT 3 with a fourth pump unclipped. Requisite gravelled car park out back and be-aproned bar staff along with the "is there anything else" after the drinks order. This is a nice place, but the feeling is they've traded off traditionalism for contemporary.
