Traditional community local with a down-to-earth atmosphere. Staff didn't seem to be the friendliest, with customers treated with disdain.

The single, large room has bare boards and is divided into a number of different drinking areas.

Landlord and Double Maxim are the real ales. I chose the latter. Despite many signs on the walls indicating that they offered a discount to CAMRA members, I was told that this had been discontinued.

A fairly decent pub that could be improved with better service.
