Strongers . left this review about The Roebuck
The Roebuck is a Fullers pub with lots of mirrors on the walls and a U-shaped serving counter that supports premium and mainstream craft keg alongside three hand pumps, all of which were badged with Lond Pride. A mix of tables, some with copper tops, are found across the front and up the right in an open plan area. A pool table and dartboard are found up the left-hand side of the pub. Televisions throughout were airing Champions League football with commentary while music played in the background. Sport is heavily advertised, and I got the feeling that this is a couple of after work beers sort of place, in the week anyway. I’m big fan of Fullers pubs, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit this one.

Fuller’s pub with a nice old exterior and a more modern interior.

First revisit to this attractive city-centre building (with some nice stone detailing on the façade) for five years, so its interesting to see how the former Utopia has been transformed since the Fuller's takeover. It still has a U-shaped layout, with various seating areas of different sizes to the left, with a larger and more open two-part dining area to the right. Low lighting and smart, semi-modern furniture throughout. Also retains three handpumps, with London Pride, Hophead (£4.20) and Tropical Storm from Wild Beer available this time.
