Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Gourmet Bar @ Novotel Birmingham Centre

Refurbished Novotel hotel bar devoid of any distinction. However, for the record, there are six beers on tap: Stella, a pair from Camden (Hells and Pale), Goose Island Midway (£5.75), Mahou and Guinness.

I must have walked past this place hundreds of times over the years without feeling the need to go in. I decided to have a look and found exactly what I expected. A hotel bar with no ale. My Camden pale ale was charged at hotel prices. The only saving grace was a pool table and bar football. I shall continue walking by in the future!

Some stools to one side of the hotel restaurant, kind of sits to one side of the foyer. just a bit of spare space really, you have to go in via reception, but the restaurant is advertised outside. Sleek, glass cocktail bar, high stools. But really I don't see why you would come hear unless staying at the hotel, and even then you would have to think twice or even thrice.
