Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Slug & Lettuce

Very dull, even by this chain's modest standards, with anonymous modern furniture and decor in the irregularly shaped main bar / seating zone and a dining area up a couple of steps beyond. Does also have two front patios, one only accessible from inside, but it really wasn't the weather to have a look at either on a cold January evening. Disappointingly, no real ale, so made do with a quick Purity Longhorn IPA (£2.20, half) before moving on. Overall, wouldn't exactly have scored highly anyway, but another couple of points off for the disinterested staff attitude on a quiet Sunday evening when it would have cost nothing to at least smile and say "thank you".
