Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Beefeater George in the Tree
An older pub (with a very unusual name, if you ignore the predominant Beefeater branding) now attached to a Premier Inn. The opened-out 'L'-shaped interior has been given the blandest of corporate makeovers, but at least there is a reasonable amount of general seating near the bar in addition to the main dining areas further back. Thankfully, too, Hobgoblin Gold (£3.49) was available from the pair of handpumps in addition to Doom Bar.

The George in the Tree is a Beefeater adjacent to a Premier Inn where I had the pleasure of staying on a recent Wednesday night. The pub is surrounded on all sides by parking making the small exterior seating areas either side of the pub less than desirable places to while away an afternoon. Inside the pub is a bar area that is flanked by two seating areas with a mix of high tables and more conventional furniture. Down the right hand side of the pub is a long dining area that is the setting for Premier Inn breakfast service. There was background music playing during my 22:00 visit and I didn’t spot any televisions.
The bar is stocked with standard draught products and one of the two hand pumps was off leaving Sharp’s Doom Bar as the lone cask ale option.
The décor was as bland as the atmosphere, but the service was friendly. The GITT is handy if staying in the hotel, but I wouldn’t make a conscious decision to drink here again.

The George in the Tree is a large pub on the northern side of Balsall Common,it has a premier inn to the right side of it.
Once inside there is a large L shaped room with the bar facing,the seating is a mix of normal tables and chairs and some mid sized tables and chairs,the room is carpeted and background music was playing on my late Saturday afternoon visit.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Wadworth 6X which was a decent drink to end my pub crawl on,the other beer was Hobgoblin.
This is not really a drinkers pub but as a drinker i was made welcome.
