This is, once again, a large opened out barn as are most other Heywood pubs. The difference here is that it isn't as tatty looking as most of the others. In fact it looks well maintained on the inside. Sadly there was only one other person in the place when I visited at about 6:30 on a Friday evening, whilst the nearby Grants & 3 Terriers were busy. There's a pool table and a decent enough beer garden at the rear as well. No real ale of course so I had a half of fizz and went and sat outside in the warm evening sunshine. Hopefully it does better trade later on, otherwise it will be gone soon.
